Brian Auger

For over forty years, the legendary Brian Auger has been a musician’s musician. With over twenty albums to his name and lengthy stints on the RCA and Warner Bros. labels, Brian has accumulated Grammy Nominations, ten albums charting in Billboards’ Hot 100 chart, a No. 1 single, and the title of “The Godfather of Acid Jazz.”

Jazz pianist, bandleader, session man, Hammond B3 innovator, and key player in the rise of jazz/rock fusion, Brian has done it all and then some. An incredible gentleman with one of the most varied careers in music, he has incorporated jazz, early British pop, R&B, soul and rock into an incredible catalog that has won him legions of fans all over the world.

Brian's bands over the years have featured ROD STEWART, LONG JOHN BALDRY, JULIE DRISCOLL and even JIMI HENDRIX to name only a few. In addition, Brian has recorded with great luminaries as THE YARDBIRDS, ERIC CLAPTON, ERIC BURDON and DOWN TO THE BONE.

Brian has been inducted into the “Hammond Organ Hall of Fame” (2015), given a star on the “Walk of the Stars” in the Rock Museum in Vienna, has received a “Certificate Of Special Recognition” from the Congress of the United States for his efforts in developing the American Art Form of Jazz, and won the American Keyboard Magazine Readers Poll for “Best Jazz Organist” not once, but twice.

The latest incarnation of his current band, OBLIVION EXPRESS features Karma Auger on drums who more than lives up to the Auger name. And Brian’s present touring band is with none other than Alex Ligertwood on vocals (16 years with SANTANA), Karma Auger on drums and Travis Carlton on bass (son of LARRY CARLTON).
