Joseph Williams

Joseph Williams, the third child of famous composer John Williams and actress Barbara Ruick, born in September 1960 in Los Angeles, California, is again the lead singer for the legendary super group TOTO. 

Joseph debuted in 1982 with an album entitled 「Joseph Williams」 that eventually lead to the release of three albums with TOTO as the group’s third lead singer between 1986 to 1989. 

Joseph has also worked in the film and television sector as a music composer and songwriter. Some of Joseph’s credits include 『The Goonies』 film (1985), 『Roswell』 TV series (1999 - 2002), 『Miracles』 TV series (2003), 『Felicity』 TV series (2002),  『From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money』 film (1999) and 『Star Wars: The Phantom Menace』 film (1999). Joseph is the singing voice of adult Simba character in the Walt Disney smash hit 『The Lion King』 film (1994). During this time Joseph released four more solo albums, 『I Am Alive』, 『3』, 『Early Years』 and 『This Fall』.

Joseph returned to TOTO in 2010 and six years later, the band continues to tour. In 2013, with Joseph as lead singer, TOTO released 『TOTO 35th Anniversary Live in Poland』 DVD. 

In 2014-2015 Joseph co-wrote and co-produced the album 『TOTO XIV』. TOTO have endured the changing trends and styles of almost 40 years. Joseph’s involvement with some of TOTO’s Top 40 all-time smash hits include 「I’ll Be Over You」, 「Could This Be Love」, 「Pamela」 and 「Stop Loving You」.
