A multi-Grammy Award winning record producer/songwriter best known for his collaborations with MARIAH CAREY for whom he produced/co-wrote for many years, MICHAEL JACKSON, LIONEL RICHIE, LUTHER VANDROSS, DESTINY’s CHILD, KENNY G, MICHAEL BOLTON, SAVAGE GARDEN, ANDREA BOCELLI, JOHNNY MATHIS, KENNY LOGGINS, BARBRA STREISAND, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, RICKY MARTIN, MARC ANTHONY, MIKA, BABYFACE, JOSH GROBAN, WHITNEY HOUSTON, TINA ARENA, LARA FABIAN and LEONA LEWIS.

During the early 90’s Walter produced and co-wrote “Hero", the second single from MARIAH CAREY’s album "Music Box", and also wrote "One Sweet Day", a duet between MARIAH CAREY and BOYZ II MEN, which holds the record for the longest run song at #1 on the "Billboard Hot 100" for a total of 16 weeks. The song was nominated for "Record of the Year" and "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals" at the 1996 Grammy Awards. It received the "ASCAP Song of the Year Award" in 1996.
